Students also get some letter formation practice by tracing the name of the animal along with the letter of the alphabet.  Some letters have more than one animal so that you can include some letter blends like ch, dr, fr, sl and sh.  Both sl and th are included in the sloth.

The letter formation activity is great for preschool, kindergarten and even first graders. This easy activity would make a nice addition to your distance learning package that can be sent home with students for school closures.
