First Day of Art

The first day of art can be stressful for students and teachers.  There is so much you want to say, but all they want to do is make something!

This little activity will give your students something to do on that first (or second) day of art while helping you to get to know them.  They will also get some drawing tips and a step-by-step page on making a “fancy font”.  Save your voice and let them dig into their art supplies!  (You can finish talking next time 🙂

I’ve included a version of this lesson with the British spelling of colour and favourite.

What You Get

  • Instructions
  • Activity Page + 2 Variations (total of 3 pages)

What Students will Do

  • Write 3 descriptive words about themselves.
