Symmetry Drawing with Pilgrims

Symmetry drawing worksheets that include Pilgrim drawings. These symmetry activity sheets are perfect for your Pilgrim study, math, and art lessons.  The lessons include some warm-up drawings along with how to draw food and people associated with the Pilgrim and their trip aboard the Mayflower. Symmetry also may fit into your math curriculum and is a fun way to teach kids about the line of symmetry (or reflection).

In 4 levels of drawing your students will:

  1. Finish a symmetrical drawing with parts missing on one side.
  2. Finish a symmetrical drawing with parts from both sides.
  3. Finish a symmetrical drawing that is blank on one side.
  4. Copy a symmetrical drawing on a blank symmetrical drawing sheet.

The best part is, you don’t even have to prep… just print & go!

This lesson aligns with the book Drawing With Children by Mona Brookes.  In her book, Mona Brookes teaches students to draw by using “5 elements of shape”.  So if you are a homeschool parent using this book as part of your curriculum, this will fit right into your Pilgrim lessons.
